Christmas in Paris; A Yuletide dream come true!

dans la catégorie Hotel Eden News headlines

Christmas in Paris is illuminations throughout the city. It is Yuletide markets with wooden cabins offering seasonal treats. It is stunning window displays in the department stores. Ice rinks, festive shows and concerts, the Big Wheel in the Place du Concorde, carrousels, the taste of warm mulled wine and the breathless hush around a nativity scene in a picturesque church. Christmas in Paris is all these things and more, so why not come and experience this magical holiday at the Hotel Eden?

The sights and sounds of the Festive Season in Paris

There is so much to enjoy during the Christmas season in Paris. Here are some recommendations from your friends at the Hotel Eden.

Go ice skating on one of the city’s outdoor rinks, such as the one in the square in front of Paris City Hall, in the Jardins du Trocadéro or the Champs-Elysées. Or try the largest ice rink in France, located within one of the most impressive buildings in Paris, the Grand Palais.

Enjoy one of the rides provided for both adults and children. The huge Ferris wheel in the Place du Concorde will whirl you up high enough to look down on the twinkling illuminations of Paris, a sight you will always remember. Then, there’s the many free carrousels scattered across the city where you can whirl through the crisp air to the sound of the delighted cries of children.

Visit a Christmas market. Just twenty minutes away by Metro from the Hotel Eden a fine one can be found situated in front of the Montparnasse Tower, specialising in regional French delicacies.

Enjoy winter sports at Charléty stadium, with zip lines, tobogganing on real snow, trampolines and more. It’s a winter sports resort in the city, free for ages 3 to 16 and supervised by fully trained staff. The kids will have the time of their lives.

Finally, don’t forget the Playmobil Fun Park and Disneyland Paris, both decked out in their Christmas colours!

Get ready for Christmas with shopping in Paris Beaugrenelle

Opened in autumn 2013, the Beaugrenelle Shopping Centre is a high end retail haven guaranteed to have passionate shoppers gaping in awed delight. It’s huge, but brighter and more spacious than you would imagine, thanks to a thoughtfully designed layout. With an enclosed footbridge connecting the three major modules of the structure, a dazzling atrium and colossal windows letting in plenty of daylight, it’s a wonder to behold. With a shopping mall, however, the brands are the key, and here they are in profusion and variety, well over a hundred of them. With Christmas just around the corner, perhaps it’s time for a visit?
