dans la catégorie What to do in Paris

An astonishing 150 million years of time are spanned by two engrossing summer exhibitions in Paris that you must not miss. From the cutting edge of entertainment technology to scenes of nature’s awesome creativity as manifested on a primal Earth, the exhibition centre at the Porte de Versailles will whirl you giddily through time. Just a little way from the Hotel Eden you can enjoy two events that we are delighted to recommend.

Video Gaming and Prehistory at the Porte de Versailles

Since the debut of the Magnavox Odyssey, the world’s first commercial home video game console in August, 1972, video games have come to achieve the status of a cultural phenomenon and an art form. Thus, their history has now begun to be properly chronicled. Videogame Story, until September 7th, tells this enthralling story via working examples from the past 42 years that are available for you to play. Also find out the very latest news, check out equipment prototypes and see previews of the hottest new games in eye-popping high resolution.

Then step back into the murky mists of time with From The Age Of Dinosaurs To The Ice Age. Until August 31st around 75 dinosaurs and prehistoric mammals are presented in life size animatronic splendour within accurate representations of their natural environments in a huge exhibition covering 7,000 square metres. The awe inspiring creatures of the past will come to life before your eyes, and interactive activities enhance the experience. The kids will even get to ride on the back of a dinosaur if they dare!
